Ebele Ifedigbo
Founder & Principal
Hi, I’m Ebele (pronounced “eh-beh-lé”).
My whole life, I have worked hard to accomplish everything I set my mind to. My father always told me “you can achieve anything as long as you apply yourself.”
Well, I applied myself and gained admission to 18 colleges when I was 17 years old, including 5 Ivy League schools. I attended Columbia University for my undergraduate studies and I earned a full tuition scholarship to attend Yale University for graduate school.
I’ve worked for some of the most prestigious financial firms on New York’s Wall Street (Goldman Sachs, UBS), and I’ve earned spots in a number of world-renowned entrepreneurship fellowships and leadership circles (Open Society, Echoing Green, Forbes, and more.) I’ve founded two successful non-profits and raised over $1 million dollars in grant funding over the years. Through all these experiences, I’ve learned how to put together a winning application package!
I founded Ikenga Consulting to share my knowledge and expertise with people looking to “apply themselves” and achieve the goals of their dreams. Reach out today and let’s get started!
Why Ikenga?
Ikenga is a horned figure that is a symbol of the Igbo people of Nigeria. The term “Ikenga” translates to "place of strength." As a deity, Ikenga is a personal god of human endeavor, achievement, success, and victory.
Thus, Ikenga figures represent the achievements of their owners. The figures are recognizable by the set of horns on their heads- a reference to the ram's unrelenting force and stubborn perseverance in the face of challenges.
We chose Ikenga for our name because we are all about achievement and success!
